She was out of control, the kids couldn’t play with her
My name is Melinda and I called Sharon because we needed help with our little puppy (12-13 weeks old). She was out of control, the kids couldn’t play with her and we wanted a dog that we could have as a pet.
Before Sharon came the kids couldn’t go outside with her without being jumped on, she’d grab their hair and pull them back, she’d never walked on a lead before, people couldn’t come down to the front gate because she’d jump on the gate, jump on them, she’d wrap her front legs around their legs and try and pull them to the ground. All out of excitement, none of it was vicious or anything but we wanted to get control of her and have a dog where people can visit us and not get mauled by her wanting to jump on them. Digging in the garden, just simple things like that. We wanted her to be our pet and not to control us, we wanted to control her.
In the 3 days – the first day she was in a bit of shock, by day 2 she was starting to get the hang of it and by 3 she was walking on the lead and yeah, she’s a different dog! Now the kids can go in the cubby house and play with her, they can throw the ball and Skylah will fetch and come back, she will sit and wait for her dinner and won’t eat until we say a word, we can pat her, we can sit outside now, visitors can come, she’s just a pleasure to have now, she will sit with you and she is a valued member of our family.
The DVD’s been awesome for the kids too. We all sat down as a family and watched it, the kids actually asked questions about it so it was quite informative for the kids. Even for us as adults it was good. The kids could understand it, we could understand it. They could see how to do things and try it, we could see how to do it.
Definitely watching the 2 DVD’s has been phenomenal! We flick back to the information on them sometimes to see how to use a choker chain, how to do different things at different levels for her, so yeah, definitely we would recommend it for sure!
